Hi,
I just came across the new feature list of SQL Server 2008 - "Word based
report authoring", do I interpret it right when I think it enables me to
edit XML text contend of the database with a Word 2007 front end?
It would be a phenomenal feature!
Thank you

formatting, and images, can be done by using the standard Office Excel and
Office Word procedures and dialog boxes...."

Hello michael,
No, I am pretty sure what it means is that your use Word as an RDL editor
rather the Report Builder or BIDS.
Thanks!

SQL Server More PDF IFilter problems Hi all, I'm having some frustrating issues with the PDF posts here, and still haven't been able to figure this out. I am running SQL Server 2005 Standard 32 bit edition on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. I performed the following: 1 - Installed the PDF IFilter v 6.0 2 - Ran EXEC sp_fulltext_service 'load_os_resources', 1 3 - Stopped and restarted the SQL Server service 4 - Ran sys.fulltext_document_types and verified that .pdf was indeed a valid document type 7 - Ran my CONTAINS query against that table. I'm able to return results against Office files, but nothing for PDF files. So, I'm not sure what I should do
